Spending time with family is precious, and it affords us the opportunity to tell stories and share wisdom that comes with age (we hope!).
Sharing your wisdom can be done by thinking about, and then communicating what is most important to you. Did a specific childhood event shape your beliefs?
Did one decision – good or bad – mold your life? Is there anything you regret not doing?
Whether it is done at mealtime, in the car, or even on a phone call, actively seeking ways to express your values is a meaningful and thoughtful way to stay close. What stories do you want to share with the young people in your life?
